The Suzuki Method is a pedagogy of teaching based on the observations that every child learns to speak their mother tongue language through absorbing sounds from their environment, constant repetition, daily practice and being nurtured in a positive environment.

These observations are based on the 'Natural Progress of Learning', thus via this progress of listening, repetition and review 'Every Child' can learn to play an instrument. In this approach to teaching, children tend to begin learning an instrument from an early age - a child learns the instrument in the same way that they master their mother tongue. 

The environment in which a child is fostered is at the heart of Suzuki's philosophy. If nurtured in a loving and positive environment ability can be developed.

Suzuki places emphasis on the importance of parental-child relationship and the method reflects this as parents are actively involved in supporting home practice and participate actively in lessons. This bond and relationship is developed through the two-way education of both parent and child supported by the teacher. This forms the successful model of the 'Suzuki Triangle'. 

Suzuki Teachers use the violin as a medium to teach the whole child. The philosophy is concerned with developing children who are well-rounded human beings.

The Suzuki community brings together children of all ages to share music. Group lessons are an integral part of both parent and child developing meaningful relationships. Through Playtogethers, Workshops and Concerts children are surrounded by a community of like-minded individuals where life-long relationships are forged.
